Vaxcel Mini Stick - “Micro Puncture Kit” is used to gain access into the vasculature. It is ideal for use at the following insertion sites:

  • Internal and External Jugular vein

Guidewire incorporates soft, durable radiopaque tip to reduce risk of vessel trauma and enhance fluoroscopic visibility.

Locking, tapered dilator to reduce risk of sheath kinking and facilitates vascular entry.

Steps of the Procedure Coaxial Kit

  1. Gain percutaneous access with the 21G entry needle.

  2. Advance the 0.018 guide wire through the entry needle.

  3. Withdraw the entry needle

  4. Advance the coaxial dilator set over the .018 guidewire through the outer dilator

  5. Remove the inner dilator from the set

  6. Remove the 0.018 guidewire

  7. Advance a .035 or .038, (not included in set) through the outer dilator.

  8. Remove outer dilator over the guidewire, leaving the 0.035 or 0.038 wire positioned in the vessel

Steps of the Procedure Peelable Kit

  1. Gain percutaneous access with the 21G entry needle.

  2. Advance the 0.018 guide wire through the entry needle.

  3. Withdraw the entry needle

  4. Advance peelable introducer sheath over guidewire.

  5. Remove the inner dilator from the set.

  6. Advance the catheter fully through the sheath to the desired location (SVC RA)

  7. Remove or peel the sheath from the catheter by: 

    • Breaking the handle by pushing downward on both parts of the handle.

    • Exert slow, steady traction on each part of the handle until the sheath is entirely peeled apart. 

    • Maintain slight inward pressure on the catheter to avoid inadvertent withdrawl along with the sheath.
